Central Florida Chapter:
March 14, 2012 The chapter met at Florida Finishing Trades Institute in Orlando. The attendance was good and everyone enjoyed the pizza, cookies and drinks furnished by the Chapter.
Our program for the evening was “Spread Rate and Profile” presented by Edward Telson of Telson, Inc. The discussion focused on calculation of spread rate and solids in estimating and comparing product. It also addressed how profile is important on preparation of any surface and it’s implication when estimating spread rate. Everyone appreciated the presentation and thought that Edward did a fantastic job!
We also discussed the upcoming event – Learn the Business of Spraying, which will be held at Dunkman Painting Facility in Sanford on April 21, 2012. Several contractors expressed their desire to attend this event.
Our next meeting at the Florida Finishing Trade Institute will be the second Wednesday of May, which is the 9th at 7:00 pm. The topic will probably be on safety. Check back on the website for future chapter announcements.
